Julie P. Gentile, M.D. (jen-TILL-ee) is a Professor and Interim Chair at Wright State University Department of Psychiatry and the Project Director/Primary Investigator for Ohio’s Coordinating Center of Excellence in Mental Illness/Intellectual Disability and for Ohio’s Telepsychiatry Project for Intellectual Disability, serving over 950 patients with intellectual disability from 65 counties. Dr. Gentile has evaluated over 3,500 patients with IDD since 2000. She is the recipient of the American Psychiatric Association’s and NADD’s Menolascino Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Services for Individuals with Intellectual Disability.

Leigh Ann Davis, MSSW, MPA is Director of Criminal Justice Initiatives at The Arc of the United States and directs The Arc’s National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability®. With over 20 years of experience in the intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) and criminal justice fields, Ms. Davis has worked with both disability and criminal justice professionals and agencies, as well as people with disabilities, to build stronger lines of open communication and understanding between these two worlds.
